Norway 3-Sweden Day 1

Another late night, early morning to come to go to Copenhagen. Quick notes. Woke up this morning, met DecembeRadio and Jars of Clay at the van at 9:00 a.m., and were on this ferry bound for Sweden at 10:00 a.m. This is the view of the ferry from our hotel porch.

A video report from deck 9:

Entering the harbor of Stromstad, Sweden

The ferry ride was three hours, then we jumped in a van for a three plus hour ride to Halmstad, Sweden. I wish we would have had time to stop for pictures along the way. The landscape here is so beautiful - pine covered rock hills and mountains and blue, winding waterways.

Checked in to the Quality Inn in Halmstad. I've stayed here before and wondered if the bathrooms were still the same - yep. For some reason, there is a porthole in the shower that looks out into the living area of the room.

A one hour break, then head to Gullbranna for tonight's concert. They have a chef here that is incredible. He prepared a fantastic dinner with a duck appetizer.

On the drive to Gullbranna, we were told of a terrible tragedy that happened here early this morning. Five teenagers from the camp, nineteen years old we were told, were in a terrible car crash just off the campgrounds. Two were killed and two are in the hospital seriously hurt. We pray for those families and all affected by this.

The show tonight was fantastic - better than last night.

Once back to the hotel, we tried Max Burger. Good Swedish fast food!

Some things just make funny pictures.

Going to bed now! Early morning tomorrow.
