St. Paul, Minnesota

There is a big crowd here for the show today on Harriet Island in the middle of the Mississippi River in the middle of St. Paul, Minnesota.  Although rain threatens, the clouds just keep the sun at bay and the temperatures warm but mild.  This is my first trip to St. Paul.  The downtown area where we are is nice and the people of Minnesota are great.

It's quite a day here in this great location with this enthusiastic crowd.  Kirk Franklin's set is strong, Superchick's set is a hit, and Flyleaf brings a powerful show after Superchick.

The production is top of the line making this a top of the line experience for us and the crowd.

By the time I leave, it is just after dusk, just right for crossing the river and grabbing one last photo of St. Paul Cathedral.

Kansas City, Missouri: Arthur Bryant's

Kansas City is fat with first class barbecue houses.  The original Arthur Bryant's Brooklyn Avenue location is still one of my sentimental favorites.

The burnt ends shown here are a tasty Kansas city original and my favorite choice.  The fries here are some of the best anywhere, but I go for a side of slaw and a diet Coke.  Good stuff!
